Plan to Pray!

Intentional and strategic prayer is not only an act of obedience but is a necessary and fruitful ministry. American missionary Samuel Zwemer stated, “The history of missions is the history of answered prayer.”  May you and your entire church partner with Jesus in making history!

Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field” (Luke 10:2 NIV). A practical addition to any church missions plan is encouraging your congregation to set an alarm to pray at 10:02 (a.m. or p.m.) every day. You could even stop and pray during a worship service for laborers to be sent to the lost and least. You and anyone from your congregation can join One Mission Society’s Church Partners every first Monday of the month for our Luke 10:2 Prayer Zoom.

To grow a missions heart in your people, provide opportunities and resources to pray selflessly toward the ends of the earth and for those who are unreached. We included several resources below to help you add prayer for the nations into your church’s rhythms.
